In March 2017, Jefferson Health, Liberty Property Trust, and Synterra Partners announced plans for expanded services offered by Jefferson at the Navy Yard, by leasing additional space to open a 70,000-plus square-foot facility at Three Crescent Drive by early to mid-2018. Jefferson’s vision for the Navy Yard is to create a consumer-oriented healthcare destination located in a large, attractive, and highly accessible area for its patients in southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.  Read more

Adaptimmune Cuts Ribbon on U.S. Headquarters at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia

Adaptimmune Therapeutics plc. (Nasdaq: ADAP), a leader in T-cell therapy to treat cancer, today announced it will host a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning at 10:30am at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia to celebrate the opening of its newly constructed U.S. headquarters and base for clinical and manufacturing operations. Developed by Liberty Property Trust (NYSE: LPT) and Synterra Partners, and under advisement of CBRE’s Life Science Advisory and Project Management Group, Adaptimmune’s 47,400 square foot facility, located at 351 Rouse Boulevard will include a state-of-the-art cGMP manufacturing facility designed to support the Company’s clinical development objectives and the initial commercialization of novel engineered immunotherapies for cancer. Adaptimmune’s Navy Yard facility currently houses 91 employees; this number is expected to grow to 120 by the end of 2017.

Liberty Property Trust & Synterra Partners Break Ground on a Fully Pre-Leased Flex Building in The Navy Yard Commerce Center

Liberty Property Trust, which owns and manages more than 16 million square feet of office, flex and industrial space in the Greater Philadelphia region, together with its joint venture partner Synterra Partners, broke ground on its third Class A flex building in The Navy Yard Commerce Center (and its fifth flex building at The Navy Yard). The 75,000 square foot building located at 4000 S. 26th Street is 100% pre-leased and will be home to three international tenants when it is completed this December. Read more

RevZilla.com and PIDC are excited to announce the expansion of RevZilla’s headquarters at The Navy Yard! Just a year ago, the company moved into its state-of-the-art office, showroom, and warehouse headquarters at 4020 S. 26th Street in The Navy Yard Commerce Center, developed  by Liberty Property Trust/Synterra Partners. Now, RevZilla will be adding additional warehouse space, a 65,000-square-foot building, which will become RevZilla’s new East Coast warehouse and fulfillment center.

Construction Update: New Building Slated for Commerce Center

The Navy Yard Commerce Center developer team Liberty Property Trust/Synterra Partners has started site work on its newest project in the Commerce Center. The building is designed by Environetics, and will offer 75,000 square feet of flex space, similar to the adjacent two flex buildings on 26th Street. Construction will begin in April 2014 and is expected to be complete in December 2014, which will mark the fourth building in the Commerce Center.

Mayor Nutter Announces New Energy Efficiency Firm to Establish U.S. Headquarters in Philadelphia

Mayor Michael A. Nutter announced today (January 23, 2014) that Australian energy efficiency firm Ecosave, Inc. has chosen the Philadelphia Navy Yard as the location for its U.S. headquarters. This move further cements Philadelphia’s position as America’s energy efficiency hub. The City of Philadelphia worked closely with a number of partners including the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Select Greater Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) to make the case that Philadelphia is the best location for an international energy efficiency firm looking to enter the U.S. market. This move is expected to create 125 jobs over the next three years.

With shovels in hand and a half-dozen of their LEED(R) certified buildings as backdrop, executives from Liberty Property Trust/Synterra Partners today hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for their eighth high performance building in The Navy Yard, the new headquarters for Franklin Square Capital Partners at 201 Rouse Blvd.
