PIDC Reports Banner Year at The Navy Yard in 2015 Featuring Robust Growth and Expansion

PIDC, Philadelphia’s public-private economic development corporation, announced that The Navy Yard experienced another tremendous year of growth in 2015, adding 12 new businesses and over 500 additional employees, bringing the total counts to 152 companies and 12,000 workers. Read more

NXTsports Recess Sports Youth Camp is Coming to The Navy Yard this Summer!

School’s out and it’s time for RECESS! Navy Yard tenant NXTsports invites parents to enroll their children in its Recess Sports program at The Navy Yard, a five-sport youth education camp staffed by experienced coaches. The mission of Recess Sports is to run a fast-paced, organized, and fun environment for young athletes that introduces soccer, lacrosse, basketball, field hockey, and football to boys and girls ages 4 to 8. NXT has run sports camps all over the Greater Philadelphia region, but now is bringing Recess to its home base at The Navy Yard. The 2016 Recess Camp will take place June 27 – 30, 2016 on the Marine Parade Grounds. Read more

Zipcar is now available at The Navy Yard!

The Navy Yard is pleased to announce the addition of a new, convenient Zipcar car sharing location! Employees at The Navy Yard and the nearby South Philadelphia neighborhood now have access to “wheels when you want them” with the addition of a Zipcar centrally located outside of 201 Rouse Boulevard.
