After tomorrow, the Navy Yard’s famous #lunchtrucklineup program concludes for 2017 and will return in the spring. Until then, check out seven great places at the Navy Yard to satisfy your lunchtime needs!
Bar Amis
Bar Amis is the newest concept from Vetri Family of Restaurants. The space is helmed by longtime Executive Chef Brad Spence, who prepares seasonally-driven small plates, salads, elevated sandwiches, and robust dishes focused on simplicity, like its sister restaurant, Amis. The restaurant’s beverage program features cocktails like frosé, beer and wines, and homemade non-alcoholic drinks. Located at 4503 S. Broad Street, the restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
The Bistro
Within the Courtyard Marriott Philadelphia South at 1001 Intrepid Avenue, The Bistro offers food & beverage choices for all-day dining. Enjoy breakfast, delicious lunches, and a variety of dinner options with an evening bar. The Bistro also makes a selection of specialty beverages made with Starbucks coffee. The Bistro is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM.
DiNic’s Oven Roasted Pork & Beef
Located at 1511 Kitty Hawk Avenue, DiNic’s Oven Roasted Pork & Beef is a Philly favorite. Here at the Navy Yard, DiNic’s offers breakfast sandwiches, traditional roast pork or beef sandwiches, homemade meatballs, and more. You may be familiar with its sister store located inside the Reading Terminal Market. DiNic’s at the Navy Yard is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
The Galley Café
The Galley Café is located in the lobby of Vincera Institute at 1200 Constitution Avenue. It offers a full organic coffee and tea bar, smoothies, breakfast, lunch, and baked goods. The Galley has gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options prepared by Caroline McGuire, a Nutrition Consultant and Therapeutic Chef at Vincera Institute, and local LeBus Bakery. The Galley is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Jharoka at URBN
Inside Building 543 at 16th & Flagship, Jharoka offers healthy breakfast and lunch options, juices, and ever changing, seasonal afternoon snacks. Jharoka is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Mercer Café at the Navy Yard
Mercer Café is a family owned and operated business with its first location in Port Richmond, Philadelphia. Mercer Café has something for everyone, specializing in home cooked breakfast and lunch platters, omelets, paninis, signature sandwiches, and brick oven pizzas. Mercer Café at the Navy Yard is located at 4920 S. 15th Street and is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Shop 543 at URBN
Located at Building 543 at 16th & Flagship, Shop 543 features eight different food stations including: soups, salads, sandwiches, grilled items, sushi, pizza, and desserts. Open Monday through Friday between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM, Shop 543 has a menu that is constantly changing with fresh and delicious ingredients. While you’re there, enjoy the southern views overlooking the USS John F. Kennedy on the Delaware River.
