With all the activity at the Navy Yard, PIDC adds to its team to better enable our organization to bring the level of attention, skills, and guidance to important functions needed to sustain the Navy Yard’s growth and momentum. We’re pleased to introduce you to Andrew Trump, Director of Navy Yard Leasing and Business Development.

As Director of Navy Yard Leasing and Business Development, Andrew will drive and execute business attraction and development; leasing; and real estate activity relating to PIDC’s portfolio of land, historic buildings, and maritime assets at the Navy Yard.

Previously, Andrew was senior project manager at the Development Finance Initiative. In this role, Andrew helped local governments design and attract private investment to transformative urban redevelopment projects. This included serving as master developer and asset manager for a 50-acre, 750,000-square-foot historic city center and managing all aspects of pre-development and private developer selection for the redevelopment of a distressed 30-acre textile mill campus. Outside of this work, Andrew has worked as a development consultant advising public and private sector clients, with much of his recent work focusing on the low income housing tax credit program.

Prior to this, while pursuing master’s degrees in city and regional planning and public administration, Andrew worked as an economic development analyst for the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise.

Andrew and his wife have lived in the Graduate Hospital neighborhood for several years. They are expecting their first child in January.
