On your mark, get set, GO! Join us on Wednesday, October 16 at 12:00 PM for a chip-timed, unique, and scenic 5k open only to Navy Yard employees. The walk/run will take place at lunchtime in Central Green with post-race awards, music, refreshments, and the Health + Wellness Expo featuring Navy Yard partners and businesses educating employees on all aspects of workplace health, wellness, nutrition, fitness, & lifestyle from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
Navy Yard Sustainability Day 2019

Celebrate sustainability with PIDC, Clean Air Council, the U.S. Navy, Johnson Controls (LUX Products Corporation), Penn State at the Navy Yard, Nava Yoga Center, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern PA. Join us on the Marine Parade Grounds to visit the sustainability fair filled with 15+ regional organizations who will provide information, giveaways, and products to be more environmentally-friendly. The day also includes free electronics and battery recycling, free paper shredding, free yoga, and free lectures!

Last year, The Goldenberg Group and the Fund for the School District of Philadelphia launched the inaugural “Dress Down Day” initiative to raise funds and build support for public schools. Contributions can be directed to a school of your choice, directly responding to the priorities and needs of that school as identified by the principal and school leadership – our pick is the Navy Yard adopted school, Bregy Elementary. Dress down with the official shirt, pin, or both!
Alex’s Lemonade Stand End Childhood Cancer Walk/Run

Support childhood cancer research by walking a mile/5k or running a 5k for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s biggest one-day event of the year! Walkers will have the choice of a one-mile course or the standard 5k, and runners will run the 5k route. The End Childhood Cancer Walk/Run is family-friendly, dog-friendly, and stroller-friendly.
Jefferson Health Navy Yard Blood Drive

Jefferson Health Navy Yard hosts its first blood drive, collecting blood to be used exclusively for Jefferson patients requiring transfusions due to trauma, surgical procedures, cancer treatments, and other critical situations.

Philly Fights Cancer’s largest fundraising event is a celebration with world-class entertainment. This year’s entertainment will feature the master of cinema and stage Hugh Jackman, Emmy-winning comedian John Mulaney, and multi-platinum selling pop artist Andy Grammer. Funds raised at the Philly Fights Cancer Gala support the clinical trials and translational research at the Penn Medicine Abramson Cancer Center.
American Red Cross Fall Blood Drive
