The Navy Yard will hold a school supply drive August 26 to September 20 to support our adopted Philadelphia public school, F. Amedee Bregy Elementary School, located in the Marconi Plaza neighborhood of South Philadelphia, serving students from kindergarten to grade 8.
While the school welcomes donations of any supplies, they are prioritizing the following items:
- Markers, pens/pencils
- Copy & craft paper
- Book bags
- Lotion, deodorant, tissues
- Underwear, socks, hats & gloves
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- $25 gift cards to Shop Rite, Acme, Dunkin, and Starbucks
- Gift cards can be securely dropped off at PIDC: 4747 S. Broad Street, Building 101, Suite 120

The 95,000 square foot build-to-suit office and laboratory building for WuXi AppTec’s Advanced Therapies Business Unit (WuXi ATU), located at 400 Rouse Boulevard, is moving forward as expected.
On May 31, we teamed up with RevZilla to celebrate our Philadelphia Public School partnerships with F. Amedee Bregy Elementary School and John H. Taggart Elementary School, respectively. Together, with the help of Community Partners and volunteers, the Navy Yard Field Day gave students from both schools a spectacular, fun-filled day, outside while offering Navy Yard employees a chance to get involved and stay close to the office.
Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc., a late-stage biotechnology company developing novel cancer immunotherapies based on tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) technology, today announced that it has entered into a lease agreement to build an approximately 136,000 square foot commercial-scale production facility at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for commercial and clinical production of autologous TIL products, including its candidate lifileucel. The Navy Yard is excited to announce the installation of new electric vehicle (EV) chargers. Two additional public chargers are now available on 13th Street between Intrepid Avenue and Normandy Place and are easily identifiable by the on-street green parking spaces.
Mural Arts Philadelphia and PIDC unveil their latest public art project at the Navy Yard: Spring into Dance by artist Loveis Wise. The project consists of six, 19-foot banners celebrating the human connection with nature. Each banner features an individual joyfully immersed in a different type of forested area. The banners are displayed at Building 101 (4747 S. Broad Street), a former marine barracks.
